Letting life unfold without judgment

We judge everything and everyone in our life too quickly.

We tend to pluck unripe fruit from the tree prematurely, taste it to be bitter, and think the tree needs to be uprooted.

It’s not the tree.

It’s not the fruit.

It’s our impatience.

It’s our need to control.

In our culture of quickness we think we need everything now in the way we want.

Our haste causes us to pre-judge and move too fast.

I’ve learned that, in the moment, I won't always fully know

why this person is in my life,

why I’m experiencing this season of circumstances,

why I do or don’t feel inner alignment.

Choosing to let life unfold without my need to always know or make sensehas proven to result in some of the most surprisingly meaningful moments, incredible opportunities and powerful connections that are full of purposeful lessons.

If I would’ve tried to control based on what I prematurely tasted I would’ve uprooted the very things that God planted but didn’t intend to come to fruition yet.

As always, use discernment (which becomes second nature the more you tune in to Spirit via meditation and prayer) and do not subject yourself to abuse or manipulation.

But more often than not, we need to release the grip of our quick opinions and premature judgments by learning to become calm, curious and gracious about life’s peculiar happenings, instead of so suspicious.

You never know who may end up being a key character in your story.

And likewise, you never know whose story in which you are a key character.

Let Love be our leader and be with life as it unfolds.

It’s actually way easier and more beautiful than you think.

- Luke

P.S. A while back I created a "recommended reading" list on the Current website. If you're a curious cat like myself you may be interested to check out some of the titles. And if you have a recommendation, send it my way!
