Embodying the essence of resurrection (Easter)

I’d like to point out a perspective from an often overlooked scene.

According to the account attributed to John, after Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene (in the form of a gardener), he teleports to the place where his devotees were hiding behind locked doors.

Jesus said “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.”

And when he said this he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.”

Kinda far out when you really sit and contemplate this text

(and actually quite confronts the Evangelical narrative that so many of us have been given)

Yet here it is.

The purpose of the resurrection story is to awaken the Divine potential, purpose, and power within you.

As Jesus fully embodied his incarnation and completely fulfilled his role and function,

he intentionally imparts this same power to his devotees, to us…

That each of us would too become One with the Father and fully embody our Divine identity and role saturated with

Peace

Purpose

Presence

And the ability / authority to forgive.

The fruit of resurrection is the embodied manifestation of Wholeness, the expression of Oneness,

realized in the life of Jesus of Nazareth, and imparted in each of us.

Happy Easter, friends.
