3 ways to navigate being misunderstood
You will be misunderstood.
1. The first lesson to navigate being misunderstood is ACCEPTANCE that being misunderstood is a fact of life.
So many of us act in ways that are out of tune with who we truly are in effort to be understood.
We sacrifice our unique Divine design when we cut who we truly are to fit in boxes created by others,
when we take it upon ourself to fit into the matrix of the mind of another.
This can be exceptionally difficult when it comes to relationships; whether romantic, friends, family or business.
But through this struggle freedom emerges as we accept the reality that it is not our job to be understood.
Our job is to be our Self;
Who God created us to be and is inviting us to become.
Not everyone will get you: your path, your life, your work, your art, your beliefs.
The quicker you come to deep acceptance that being misunderstood is OK, the quicker you will be unlocked to live in the abundance of your True Self.
2. The next is to learn to hold the heart space of NON-OFFENSE.
When we are misunderstood it's a natural reaction to be, on some level, offended and feel some degree of judgement and rejection.
When you mature and master the skill of
dissolving the illusion of perceived power that
anyone or anything outside of you
has any authority to effect the state of being within you
you are able to live non-offended and are able to truly love unconditionally.
When someone doesn't quite get you, be careful to not over explain in effort to be approved in their eyes; Choose to see beyond the differences of conceptual ideas and lean into Love.
Which brings me to the last thought for navigation:
3. Learn that being misunderstood can be a blessing.
To be foggy in the eyes of one is to create clarity for another.
When you allow this to be your guide you find You, your path and your people.
You are not meant to flow in harmony with everyone.
Love everyone, yes, but when you press every note on the piano it's chaos.
Part of bringing order and beauty is learning the notes of the key you want to play in.
There's nothing "wrong" about those other notes on the piano - they're just not in harmony with your key.
If you try to change your note to fit into a key you're not designed to play in that likely means you're living out of tune and in some fabrication of ego that is serving deep insecurity, not your Divine unfoldment.
That's a hard pill to swallow; I only know because my throat is sore from it too...
When you're in Flow, the right people will resonate with you.
Learn to trust that.
Again, our goal is not to be understood, approved and accepted;
Our goal is to awaken to who God is in us, through us, and seeks to express as us in participation with the ongoing healing of the world through unconditional love.
And remember, give yourself tons of grace as you integrate this.
There's no finish line, well, other than death. (memento mori)
Life is for learning and we all came into this body for a purpose.
Only you know can know your purpose and it is only your responsibility to uncover and understand your role in this grand narrative.
Be blessed, friend.
